3D Printing...
Innovative technologies provide learners compelling ways to address the act of creation. One of those technologies is 3D printing. 3D printing involves taking an idea in the mind, creating that virtually with 3D modeling software and then printing out that object in a physical form. The potentially motivating aspect of 3D printing is the almost magical process of going from an idea in the mind to a tangible object. This idea may motivate students to be more engaged in the educational process. This was the primary reason 3D printing technology was selected for this artistic Literacy project - to determine if this was indeed motivating and engaging for grade 4/5 students of Coalbanks Elementary.
